THE Dog Rock Shopping Centre is undergoing a $8 million revitalisation.

The extensive redevelopment is expected to take nine months, with an anticipated completion date in September.

At the finish of the project, Dog Rock will become part of the myBoulevarde brand of local shopping centres and renamed Dog Rock Boulevarde.

It will join other centres in WA owned and operated by Cockles Pty Ltd – at Busselton, Newman and Kambalda.

The Dog Rock centre will undergo a complete interior and exterior refurbishment.

Externally, the centres’ upgrade will include new facades, entry statements and upgraded and modernised signage.

The car park will be resurfaced and redesigned to improve both vehicular and pedestrian traffic flows.

Internally, the focus is on improving shopper comfort, with the refurbishment including the installation of banquet- style seating in central locations on the lower level and a tasteful makeover of the public toilet facilities, with new feature fittings, benches, basins and tap-ware.

MyBoulevarde says it brings local shopping at its best to the region.

The Woolworths Supermarket and Liquor Store will be upgraded and become the company’s first store in regional Western Australia to receive the new store concept, which has been under way for several weeks.

The centres’ cafĂ©, bakery and ice creamery tenancies are also being reconfigured.
